About StatementParse

A developer-first API for converting bank statement PDFs into structured JSON.

The problem

Every fintech app, accounting tool, and lending platform eventually needs to extract data from bank statements. The existing options are either expensive LLM-based services that hallucinate financial amounts, or enterprise OCR solutions with six-figure contracts and month-long integrations.

Developers deserve something better: a simple API that's fast, accurate, and affordable.

Our approach

StatementParse uses purpose-built, deterministic parsers for each bank — no LLMs, no AI guessing. Each parser understands the exact layout and structure of a specific bank's statement format, which means consistent accuracy without hallucinated data.

Privacy as a feature

Bank statements contain some of the most sensitive financial data a person has. We treat that seriously. PDFs are processed entirely in memory, never written to disk, and discarded immediately after parsing. We literally cannot retrieve your documents after processing — by design.

Who builds this

StatementParse is an independent product built by a solo developer. No VC funding, no enterprise sales team — just a focused tool that does one thing well. We keep overhead low so pricing stays accessible for developers and startups.
